The Bill of Rights Awards is ACLU SoCal's annual tribute to those who — through their seminal work —  have shifted the conversation on civil rights and civil liberties and challenged the status quo.

Stars and advocates alike will come together at the ACLU of Southern California’s annual Bill of Rights Awards, in person for the first time since 2019, at the Beverly Hilton on Sunday, October 16, at 6 p.m.

For more information and to buy tickets, visit the official Bill of Rights Awards website.

In our next installment of the SoCal UPFRONT series, we will discuss proven solutions to our housing crisis in California, including Measure ULA on the November ballot in Los Angeles.

If passed, Measure ULA would create a sustainable funding stream for affordable housing, support tenant protections, including the right to counsel in eviction proceedings, and create thousands of good-paying jobs in the City of L.A.

Our live panel of experts will include tenants' rights activist Zerita Jones, Ktown For All organizer Andreina Kniss, and our very own Kath Rogers, staff attorney focused on economic justice.

Moderating the panel will be KPCC/LAist reporter Ethan Ward.
