Sheriff Villanueva ran as a progressive, but he has abused his power since taking office and must be checked.

He has rehired violent deputies who were fired for cause, and stalled investigations into deputy misconduct. Meanwhile, he has continued to transfer members of our community to ICE detention centers and ignore requests for transparency around the department's use of force practices.

We have had enough.

Join a growing movement of directly impacted families, faith leaders, community and labor advocates at the Hall of Justice in Downtown Los Angeles on October 30th from 3-5pm for a rally to hold the LA Sheriff's Department accountable.

We must #ChecktheSheriff and demand:

  • Real Transparency, accountability, and community oversight of the LA Sheriff's Department.
  • A new system of checks and balances to protect our most vulnerable community members.
  • An end to all entanglements with ICE.

It's time to #CheckTheSheriff.

RSVP to get involved and join the movement.
