ACLU: Volunteers to Give Greyhound Bus Passengers 'Know Your Rights' Guides
Greyhound buses are increasingly targeted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents who board buses without warrants to interrogate passengers about their travel plans and immigration status. The ACLU affiliates in California and nine other states have demanded that Greyhound Lines Inc. stop giving permission for agents to board buses without warrants.
On Friday, March 23, volunteers will be at four Greyhound stations in Southern California to hand out "Know Your Rights" guides to passengers to let them know it's legal for them to refuse to answer questions of agents and to refuse consent to warrantless searches.
