Immigration Law 101: UCLA Professor Hiroshi Motomura [VIDEO]

LOS ANGELES — UCLA Immigration Law professor Hiroshi Motomura led what he described as "a 42-hour immigration course compressed into two hours" at the ACLU of Southern California headquarters last Tuesday. Well-known for his consultancy in high profile immigration cases and for his pivotal role in shaping immigration policy from the Obama-Biden Working Group to the National Immigration Law Center, Motomura discussed with ACLU/SC interns the fundamentals of immigration law and how they may be shaped by the Senate’s proposed “Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act” (S. 744).
