Join us and our partners on Tuesday, November 19, at the offices of the Feminist Majority Foundation in Beverly Hills, for a special screening of "Still Working 9 to 5" and talkback with the filmmakers and advocates working on gender equity incuding our own Senior Staff Attorney Minouche Kandel.
"Still Working 9 to 5" is a documentary that explores the still-relevant gender disparity in today's workplace and society, and what progress has and has not been made since the 1980 release of the blockbuster comedy "9 to 5" about three women fighting for basic workplace equality.
The documentary includes commentary from the original "9 to 5" cast members Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Dolly Parton, and Dabney Coleman, as well as Rita Moreno, Allison Janney, and leaders of prominent women's rights organizations including Lilly Ledbetter, Zoe Nicholson, Karen Nussbaum, Ellen Cassedy and women of all ages and demographics discussing their everyday lived experiences. It also features a new version of the hit song “9 to 5” featuring Dolly Parton and Kelly Clarkson.
